Dapur Mama has been flourished by Puan Zalini with her vast experience since 1994, which is more than 20 years in the food industry. We serve the traditional taste Nasi Kukus in a modern and family friendly restaurant.
The Untold Story
“Jom derahh balik,kito nok tolong mok siap siap nego pulokk nihhh..!”
The same dialog that was thrown by the siblings throughout their childhood time growing up helping their late mother who they called ‘Mok’ do business around Kota Bharu, Kelantan to support their life and daily expenses.
With a variety of food including the special Nasi Kukus, the recipe has been passed down to ‘Mama’ and the siblings with hope the Original Recipe Nasi Kukus could change their life for the better.
2010 marks the journey, the first Gerai Nasi Kukus ‘Mama’ was opened by joining a space within Casper Restaurant, Indera Mahkota.
Struggling in the early days of doing business with not more than 20 customers per day, Mama doesn’t give up and continues with the help from her kids to finally be able to get more customers, most of them are students from the nearest universities.
By 2023 Mama had opened 5 branches in Pahang and Selangor with the help from a friend who can see the potential. The delicious Nasi Kukus Mama has then spread wide even customers from afar are going to Kuantan just to have Nasi Kukus Mama.
